Peckforton Castle - Activities - Archery

Historically used for hunting and combat, archery is an art that demonstrates skill and strength even when in a relaxing environment such as the grounds of Peckforton Castle.

The British have a long and cherished history with archery - after the Norman invasion in 1066 the longbow was developed into a weapon of war, and archery became widely practiced.

With the grounds providing a stunning backdrop and just a small sense of times gone by, the power of mythological heroes that dominated the world of archery can be experienced by our guests.
