Boutique Hotel Group owns three luxury hotels and wedding venues set in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a positive and energetic Wedding & Events Coordinator to join our team at Peckforton Castle. 

Reporting to the Sales Office Manager, your main duties & responsibilities will be:

Wedding Sales:

  • Taking enquiries via telephone & email, responding efficiently, always being as helpful as possible and encouraging couples to visit the castle to look round.
  • Chasing all enquiries, after visit letters to all show rounds, letters to provisional, updating company documentation.
  • Chasing provisional bookings, meeting target of 15 wedding bookings per month.
  • Building relationships with all clients.
  • Answering all queries via telephone & email, responding as quickly as possible and with the correct information.
  • Creating files for all new weddings.
  • Sending letters for 6 & 12 month deposits, chasing them if late.
  • Chasing final payment (4 weeks prior).
  • Ensuring we have table plans for all weddings 1 week prior.
  • General administration such as after visit letters, filing, printing booking forms and photocopying.
  • Showing clients around, upselling all areas / departments and explain what we can offer for their day, talking through the brochure and try to convert the show round to a provisional booking
  • Meeting with brides & grooms for general questions and queries regarding their wedding.  Final details meetings with Brides & Grooms 8 weeks before their wedding day to confirm all of their plans and build their function sheet

Conference & Event Sales:

  • Create an excellent first impression to all callers/visitors
  • Meet with interested individuals to discuss their options, ideas and to show them around our facilities and familiarise them with our services
  • Hold follow-up meetings with individuals as required
  • Build relationships with individuals to gain their confidence and trust to ensure a thorough understanding of their needs and help turn their dream event into a reality
  • Strike the perfect balance between agreeing to individuals’ bespoke requirements whilst respecting the boundaries as to what is operationally realistic
  • Take all opportunities to convert enquiries into sales at the best rate to maximise revenue
  • Have a good knowledge of hotel’s facilities and services.

  • To work with the Director of Sales and maintain an effective pro-active and reactive sales effort for the hotel and in particular converting enquiries into bookings.
  • Achievement of monthly, conference, events budgets in respect of food, beverage, accommodation and room hire sales. 
  • Service and standards compliance.
  • Satisfy and exceed customer service expectations.




You will work as part of an experienced team and will be provided with excellent training and development.

This role includes weekends, Bank Holidays and occasional evenings.

Previous experience is desirable however full training will be given to the right candidates
